Default My first snare!

This is my first hog to catch in a snare. First year trying it and what a rush. Big fella wasn't happy either.

Nice, always heard of catching them with snars but never tried, we have a trap but seems like they wont go in it anymore, we may have to try the snare

Using neck snares. My snares have deer stops on them, so they won't cinch small enough to catch the foot. This dood got caught aroud the snout, and thank God his tusks were long enough to keep him hooked because the deer stop didn't let it cinch all the way.

I bet he was real pissed off being caught by the snout. I've been wanting to try the snaring thing, just never did yet.

Hogs are a problem there, seems like nobody likes em? Thought they were great eatin' as I have never tried them. I know in Texas they can hunt them 24/7/365 as they are a nuisance animal. Do you have any gov't programs which will take them to feed the hungry, any bounties, any programs at all which will allow you to harvest them for the unfortunate?

Corey, up at my lease in Sikes. About 30 minutes south of Monroe. Maybe later on in August or Sept when we go up to work on our stands, and you have some free time, you can come up for a few days and we'll set a few and drink some beer.
