Default special goose season

Got a few guys that are interested in coming down and hunting the unplugged season. Any guides here that do this and would it be worth someone flying in from S.C. and chicago???

From my experience, once the special season starts the geese have been shot at so much they are skid dish.

I'm sure their will be some professionals post shortly.

That's tough down here and a lot of guides don't run those trips because everything has to fall into place to capitalize on those hunts but I'm sure some do run em. Weather has to be perfect and the geese have to be there. Without a lot of spread out property it's hard to tell day to day if the big bodies are going to be around. You can kill a few but to get on one of those pile up trips things would have to fall right. Try getting in touch with Louisiana-outfitters.net Scott ritchie has quite a bit of spread out stuff. I'm not sure if he does these trips but he might be able to point you in the right direction. Also it would probably be better in the split.

Go to Missouri. There is nothing special about the "special" goose season here. As stated before, EVERYTHING has to be aligned right including the geese using your field. To the north of us, hunting isn't as much of a fad as it is here, so there is a ton of land avalaible at the knock of a door so it's easier to be where the geese are

Yea. I was gonna recommend Missouri. Or even Arkansas. A buddy of mine made a hunt in Arkansas last year and they killed in the 270's one day. And they weren't even using an Ecaller

like they said yall meet in the middle and lay the smack down.only way down here is if the guide has birds wanting his field at that date and time and they eat a field out in a day and move on.now if they want speck hunt to remember u cant beat laying in a field with 6 decoys and a guide who knows how to talk to them.a good guide will tell you if he has birds or not.
