Default Big Lake 8/21-8/23

Got off of work Friday and scooted down to the lake as fast as I could. With no delays, I was hoping to get an hour or two of jumping around to try and find some fish. I got on the water at six and probably had my first bite at 6:30. It was on. They were hitting top water and the good ones were active. Those are the first two pics.

So, Saturday morning, I thought I had them figured out....right. Went straight back there at dawn and struggled. Caught eleven trout by 10:00. Came in and went back out at about five and caught four more. Caught a limit but basically took an entire day. Sorry no pic on that one.

Then Sunday, had my cousin coming fish. My honey hole had petered out and it was DZ1 (dead zone 1 ). It sucked because, now I was going to be in search mode. So, Sunday morning after and hour and a half, in DZ1 , with one fish, my cousin was like, "so.....you know some other spots we can try?" I took the hint and we took off. Got lucky I guess because the next spot I tried, the fish were there, and they were ready to eat. Off the water by 11:00 with thirty trout. (last pic) All top water. Small skitter walk did best.
