cant use milk jugs oil will eat through it.... get a few 5 gallon gas cans..

Payed $990 two months ago in boemont,so it pays to shop around found it from 990-1750 21/2 gal.gas cans work better then5 gal. Depending on what type of drum rack you have. Just my experience with buying drums

I buy my yamalube in a clear plastic 1 gallon jug. It comes out off a 55 gal drum. So I'm pretty sure a milk jug would do fine. Now putting gas in one is a different story.

I would imagine thats different plastic than a milk jug. When I was about 12 I mixed some 2 cycle oil with a gallon of gas in a milk jug. The gas can was 5 gallons and the oil was enough for one gallon of gas. So I got an old milk jug cuz I knew it was a gallon. I didn't know any better but it stayed in the jug for about a week and a half before we used it up and it didnt eat through. My dad told me not to do that again though cuz it probably would eat through

They have oil grade containers and food grade containers.

When I was a kid my buddy wanted to take some extra gas in his dads boat to go to our friends camp. He took a 5 gallon kentwood water jug and filled it with gas and put the cap on. We didn't make it to the afternoon and the gas was eating the plastic.

I vote to get the 5 gal. cans with a top and don't worry about finding a buttload of 1 gal. jugs.
If you want 1 gal. jugs, go find a commercial laundry along the coast and they will gladly give you all the 1 gal. bleach jugs you want. Free.
The crabbers used to use them for crab trap floats when I was younger. They will degrade over time due to the sun, but you can get all you want.

Save your gallon jugs now. I had about a dozen of them when I was running a 2 stroke just for filling out of a 55 gallon drum.
