I don't totally agree with u there you can get really easy and ducky with a cut down. Normally u blow like hell in the woods just to catch there attention but when they ducks start working in good you back off to the single quacks snd feed calls. In my experiences hunting in Bayou Meto

The times I've hunted public land in arkansas, if you didn't have two are three guys running the hell out of a cutdown you were not gonna break the ducks in your hole vs. the next group set up usually less than a hundred yards from you. I agree with quack head in saying that they do not fair well in a marsh environment due ducks being able to pin point you when you are calling loud out in an open setting.
I hear ya and I know I blow them different than what they were intended but they work where I hunt the way I blow em and am still learning the bark.im still play in with my air presentation.if they didn't work like I blow em I wouldn't use em.something around here they havnt heard and I was looking for something different and I found it with the cutdowns.

I do like the rasp of it that's for sure. I have a cut down that some guys I hunt with in Bayou Meto make it sure is a different sounding call. It might be more raspy than that first call u are blowing

You wont be disappointed. Never blown a bsod but the externals play very little into the tuning of a cutdown. Kirk cuts a smooth running call.

Stand up guys. They took me under their wing the first time I ever hunted that crazy *** place. We camped out with them at the boat launch a couple years in a row. I actually own a regulator call.

There is no doubt that Kurt is a legend in the cut downs. But there are definitely some new ones on the map to look into

Yea they did the same thing with me and my friend for 5 years in a row. I think they were surprised that two guys from south la were as hardcore about shooting ducks as them
