Sunflower seeds and gum.

God didn't make any substitutes for booze.

When I do quit drinking for a while, I just keep bottled water. Everything else bloats you up, and if I'm gonna be bloated I better have a buzz with it!

I quit drinking about 9 years ago and quit smoking 1.5 years ago. Quitting drinking was hard but it had to be done. It's amazing how much better the quality of life is for me when I quit drinking. Pm me your number if you wanna chat about how I cleaned my self up

I gave up drinking for lent and the hardest thing about that was going to a gathering and watching all your friends have fun and get loose and you are stuck with a bottle of water... but you get used to it after a while.. i guess smoking might be like dipping, i quit dipping usually every new year and then pick it back up every opening day of duck season.. dont know what it is but i have to have a dip in the blind.. then i will quick usually after the season until next season.. SUNFLOWER SEEDS are my anti-drug!!!

Recently a quitter of both myself. The drinking went hand in hand with the smoking. Once I feel like I'm on solid ground with the cigs, I will likely return to my weekend adult beverages to unwind. I quit before and didn't smoke much but it feels good to be away from it again!

It's all in your head...untill you truly want to quit it will be tough. I quit 3-4 times and started smoking again. The last time I finally made up my mind and gave em up. Quit cold turkey been over 2 years. I still enjoy a cold brew on the weekends. Some people just have addictive personality's and struggle.

I had to stop drinking to stop smoking... Every time I popped a top I wanted a smoke. Now I may have a few cold ones on the weekend, but nothing like the old days!

I'm an old guy and smoked almost as much weed as I did cigarettes. Drank a little, but would get horrific hangovers.

I had quit smoking once for 8 years. On new years eve the kids ran out of punks for their fireworks. I bought a couple of packs of cigarettes for them to light 'em. The next day I smoked 3 packs while watching the football games. Right where I had let off 8 years prior.

A couple of years later, Exxon started pee testing so, I quit everything at the same time. Like Montauk17 said, once you solidly make up your mind, it's not the big deal you think it would be. Quitting the little drinking I did was a non-issue.

My wife had nothing to do with helping me quit either. In fact, if anything, she probably caused me to want to go back and get loaded a couple of times. You can do it Brother. I'm tellin ya, it just ain't that hard of a thing.
