I am heading up October 10th, have you hunted this early before. Is deer movement good early season like it is in November? We hunted two years ago in central Kansas First week of November and the rut was not in full swing yet, we managed to kill two nice bucks and a big doe.

Yes. We hunt the crop fields this time of year. Totally different strategy hunting Sept. vs the rut around Thanksgiving. We put out 7000# of corn a month ago.....pile it up at our stands. It will all be gone when we get there Friday. 7 of us Hunting, and at least 1 or 2 will kill something big next week !

Wow the biggest doesn't look to be that old either. I love going to my west Texas lease but thinking hard on trying something out up north.
