Bounce Turkeys

Anyone from the lafayette area interested in gettin together and doing some turkey huntin this spring? Been down here for a few years now, and have been going back to GA during turkey season every year to kill my birds, but i would like to hunt down here a little more. Ive got a few spots around here, just lookin for a partner to hunt with, and i am down to travel a couple hours out of lafayette. If anyone wants to get together and scout some birds to hunt, give me a holler

Where you hunting at? I make the run from BR to Clear Creek every year, couple times a season. Might try hunting places closer to this side of the state this year.

I'm scared to try it. I'll probably like it. I have enough addictions already.

PM me, I hunt public land throughout state and Midwest every year. Too late to put in for lottery hunts but plenty of public land to hunt on National Forests.

Couldn't tell, going too fast. Must not be much food in the woods though, they were eating an armadillo

That's good turkey land up there. Wish they had some public land open in that area the first weekend. Darn postal service lost my turkey lotto application, so now I'm stuck hunting whatever is open.

This just in. Lighting wildfires last week in kisatchie national forest has desimated the turkey population. Season will be closed in all kisatchie districts for 2015 season until further notice. Check back for updates.

Seriously???? I hope this isn't true. SpecksNdasurf gonna be HOT!! That's his little honey hole. I went out there for first time last year and it has a good bit of birds.

On another note, MS opens a week earlier this year. So I will be chasing gobblers beginning next weekend.
