Default Standard Mapping

Anyone ever use their map overlays? are they any good? are they accurate? Thinking about getting one for the Venice area, but at 120$ for the combo upper and lower a bit spending but if they are accurate Id do that.

I am looking at the same thing for my Lowrance. Pack and Paddle has them in stock. They look pretty good on the display unit when you compare to regular map and use the overlay. Go check them out.

REALLY? see Im on the edge over that one, what makes it ?

the venice area one, there are a bazillion nook and crannies to view and say "oh I gotta check that out!"

Also, do they match up with your GPS tracking and positioning when loaded?

I have the Venice and Hopedale chips. Excellent layover. You literally get their maps on your lowrance system. They update every couple of years but you can upgrade for a lesser fee.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on humminbird units. There is a licensing thing a while back. You can google it and read about it on Nola.comOtherwise I'd ditch the lowrance and go with the humminbird because the birds have better features, sonar tech, and support. Hell the hummingbirds have their own forums and Facebook page with a bass pro responding regularly.
