Default idiots catching large pet groupers

these fish are hand fed by people from the pier and come right up to you like gold fish waiting to be given food so these idiots decided to drop a hook in their mouth (aas if there was any challenge to it) so they can get on TV acting like the were actually fishing and caught them.

in my mind its the equivalent of shooting a deer tied up to a tree

someone should have known better then to put this farse on TV

watch the guy literally drop the bait right in the groupers mouth waiting to be fed

Deer tied up to a tree?A better comparison would be shooting a deer from a stand that's been dropping corn for a few months.

Would prefer if someone shot them and just dropped them off at my house. I don't have to get up early that way. Cut, wrapped and labeled. I'll bring your ice chest back.

Keakar you are right. You should never shoot a deer tied to a tree. It's not going anywhere so why waste the ammo? A good sharp knife and close the deal.

Goliath grouper, a true menace on Florida's reefs. Eat everything. Now protected by the powers that be. Can't even bring them aboard for a pic.

If you can't catch Goliath Grouper in Florida, and he specifically targeted the fish, then isn't he breaking the law?

Couldn't care less about him catching the fish if its legal. He isn't a fisherman for doing that, but whatever. No one owns the fish.

You can target and catch them, but can't bring them aboard.
