What's ur rpm wot? U could go down a pitch or two but u will lose top end. Bass boats are usually proped for top speed and hole shots not that great.

Prop diameter can help too.....pushs more water, more lift

I only got on it wide open 2 or 3 times. I think it was 5900. I know it's built more for top end but it's ridiculous on how long it takes. Makes me embarrassed when I try and take off after passing a boat that I slowed down for.

Take off your prop and bring it to your local prop shop. Tell em what it's doing and they should be able to repitch it. Getting mine repitched right now cost me $125.... Way cheaper than a new ss prop

Skid plate on the bottom of the jack plate would help a little. I forget how it works, but the plate creates more surface area in the back keeping up and the front down. Brother had this problem on his old 17 foot skeeter with a 135 and he put that plate and a hydrofoil and it would get up quicker.

Get one of them stingray deals you put on the motor. Had same problem with my old 16 flat. Put one on and would get up in less than 2 lengths. Only cast around $50-100.

I thought about the sting ray/ hydrofoil fin. Some require drilling. The motor only got about 4 hours on it. I don't wanna drill holes in it. I read up on the bolt on one. Alot of people say they fall off the motor easily. I don't have a jackplate on the boat either. I was thinking of getting one installed. I'm sure they could help it some. I don't expect it to jump on plane right away just want it to be on plane quicker than it is now. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. This is why I really love this sight.

I'm not sure but do the laser props have the vents in the front? Do you have little black caps around the hub of your prop? If they are there and solid I'd try and get some with holes. I know they have different sizes and any prop shop should be able to get them. The holes allow exaust to exit the front letting your prop spin faster on take off.

After I got home I
Looked at my prop. It is a 22 pitch prop and it does have the vent caps on it with holes. I don't know the diameter of the prop. I was gonna check the diameter I'd the holes on the vent caps but I don't have my calipers at home. |

Trim your motor way down , cut your wheel to right or left all the way n punch it . Then straighten the wheel out . This will help u get up faster
