It fishes well and is easy on the pocketbook... Also a fun project rigging it out ...

I will be picking up my new Mako 18 LTS Thursday. Looking forward to putting her in the water to see what it will do. Has a 90 Optimax with a 4 blade vengance stainless prop. They will complete the rig out hopefully tomorrow.

I really like your set-up what kind of prop you turning and what kind of speed do you get out of it. Is that 40 hard to control with the tiller handle?

SWC4 11p Powertech, 30 mph loaded (would like to try 3 blade, but holeshot is great with the 4), 40 is a piece of cake to handle...Yamaha has a steering friction adjustment, you can set it where you want...

I'm running a 2036 Alweld Tunnel with a 4strok Merc 40 and poling platform on rear.

Also just hung a 13hp Honda surface drive that Dixie Mud Motors built for me to go on my homemade wooden boat. It's a low profile sneakboat that is 11ft long with a 48" bottom.

Hydro, did you have to do anything to your water pickups to run the motor that high?

Nope, no mods needed... Plenty of water pressure...
