Speaking of people talking about you!....you are becoming a legend up here. Was having breakfast with Tom (owner of F&F) and you were one of the first people he mentioned and he took out his phone to show me pictures! & to top that off...they had a group of old men when i walked into the diner talking about the "almost" 13# bass caught last week! lol

I read what they have been saying and knowing J, I have no, clue how he has bitten his tongue this long

I would have let them have it by now!

I know exactly how those people are up there, when i pulled mine out of the tank to put in ice chest ( that was the longest walk with a fish in my life) people asking why Im killing it yaddda yadda

It was not over 10lbs so i had no choice of a free replica but i still was getting a skin mount if it had been 15lbs

While I do not believe in keeping it, it is his right. He caught it he can do what he wants. I do have issue with people keeping them and then complaining of no big fish like they do in Lacasine reserve. No I have never caught one that big but I do have 1 over 12 and 2 over 11 and I have never kept any of them. Great fish and I hope it makes a great mount. As far as it not living much longer it may have had another 10 years just look at Dottie from CA. Tracked for many years caught and released multiple times

California and Louisiana are totally different, for a fish to reach 12 lbs here takes a lot longer than there.

Lacassine is full of big fish, the people that know how to catch them keep their mouth shut. Neer heard of anyone complain about there being no big fish in lacassine.

100% right

Some people i will never understand, its real easy

If you catch it you have two choices keep or let go! Your choice nobody else

Hate when people start that u should of let it go!

I let go a lot of big trout but only because I choose to, if joe blow catches 5 over 10lbs and keeps all of them!! Sweet

The size of toledo bend the big girls will never get fished out with rod n reel. I'm sure we all would be in shock if we could get accurate data on how many 10 plus pounders swim that lake. People gotta hate no matter what.

Yep. Be shocked at the 15 lb plus too. When they get that big it's hard to convince them with a worm or spinner bait. They wanna eat a pound bream or sacalit and go back to laughing at all the rattle traps flying by.
