We don't bait test in my boat
I pick a color vs the water and we stick to that one color unless stuff changes

I typically use the "dark water, dark bait, clear/green water, bright bait" theory. I probably use silver or white too often though. |

"The average ocean salinity is 35 ppt. This number varies between about 32 and 37 ppt. Rainfall, evaporation, river runoff, and ice formation cause the variations. For example, the Black Sea is so diluted by river runoff, its average salinity is only 16 ppt.
Freshwater salinity is usually less than 0.5 ppt. Water between 0.5 ppt and 17 ppt is called brackish." So what would y'all consider good trout water for the lake? |

8-10 up hotter it gets the more trout will move to higher salinity around 17-30
Winter time trout prefer less salinity vs summer

The authorities (CCA) don't care about science so why should W. However his assessment is very likely based on scientific observation or just pure science.

I know they have to have a certain salinity to spawn, otherwise the eggs will sink and not survive. Don't remember what number though.
