I don't quite understand the deal with the birds. If you're workin' a flock and somebody joins in.....just go find another one if you don't like sharing. Sayin', "I was here first" or "I found 'em" seems pretty immature at best.

Yea working sucks. I had to work and passed by the point and through Deatonville and saw how nice the water looked. It was calm and naturally I was working. Nice fish though. Me and a friend plan on going tuesday, but I'm sure it won't be as nice as it was today, wind wise.

My rule on bird fishing this year..........If someone messes my fish up...Then no one catches on that Group........Cant take the idiots anymore....just too crazy.......Once all us guys start cranking up on birds when guys try to crumb snatch.....they will learn the hard way

You better stick to La. waters then, you'd never survive here.

And yes more than 1 boat CAN fish a flock if done properly.

I have had 2-3 boats join me on a flock and we all did good with no problems. Problem is chances of finding more than than a couple to do it properly is the challenge and does not happen often

Oh yeah and get this, I don't even have a trolling motor!!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot fish birds without a trolling motor..........and, it's got to be a MotorGuide.

sweet man.. Do you know where at in the bay or how many!! I'd much rather make that 45 minute drive than the 2 hour one lol

lmao you said that right you'd be lucky to be one of 10 boats trying to fish a pile of birds... frikin ridiculous there.

i'm still thinking about mounting them. Think it'd be a nice addition to the house. Depends on how much they charge for a 2 fish mount.

i nearly did just that but didn't want to embarass myself in front of the customer if it was just him or if he wasn't a "guide" i would of!

i agree.. as long as everyone shows each other respect its perfectly find with me. I enjoy whenever a good boater shows up with me and starts BSing with me. I don't mind sharing at all as long as i can see that they are trying to stay out of the way, you know.

Default Hmmmmm

If i approach a flock of birds properly and set up properly and give the first bost what I consider plenty room and he cranks up and runs thru the school to kill the bite , I'm done fishing for the day cause i'm going to follow him around and every time he stops i'm going to run a circle around him to make sure he don't catch fish.
sound familiar?

Nice fish man!!!!!!!
Don't worry about that dude acting like a fool. I get tired of those people
out there that fish every day. Some of us have to work and don't have the
chance to fish except on weekends. Maybe they shouldn't fish the weekends, then it would be less fisherman on the lake on weekends.
