Default 7-28 to 8-4-18 Toledo

Fished Shadows landing Negreet area all week. Wish I could say I tore the Crappie up, but at least I didn't skunk out. And I learned a lot about that area. Caught 30 or so Crappie fishing 6-11 in mornings and 5-8 evenings. Skipped a morning and an evening. Caught 20 catfish too. They ate good! Never caught so many catfish Crappie fishing. No Bass but didn't try for em. They were catching them but at night. The worst thing was the Crappie I did find were all little but two. I'd been happy with 30 of em like I caught back in Febuary. Spent a lot of time with my family and was able to get my grandson his first fish. He just turned 3. We practice casting the night before to see who could throw the furthest both using little 2-3 feet snoopy rod and reels lol. It paid off cause he could really cast. Have one pic the morning we caught 13 but had already cleaned 4 before pic and evening before is when he caught his first fish. We will be back soon!

The week leading up to goin all I heard was 30 feet of water for Crappie. I caught mine in 20 feet of water at 6-7 different spots and heard they had moved shallower while I was up there. I did try 15-18 feet a few times with no luck. O and the very first thing, the very first words Ahnyx, my grandson, said was I'm eating that fish pa pa. Lol!

Nice! Been waiting for this report! Hoped you'd tear them up more, but still beats being at work.

My little dude loves eating fish. Gets mad when we have to throw small ones back.
