Default Solo vbay last minute trip 10/10/14

DRY REEF HOLDING! I wish the wind didn't pick up or I woulda had my limit. Ended up a few shy of solo limit with a puppy drum to boot! Avacado/chart and blk/chart did the damage on yellow mouth jig heads of course!

Ps- yellow mouth jigheads catch just about everything. I drifted the hammock stump field on my way in and snagged this piece of wood... I put it in my flowerbedImageUploadedByTapatalk1412967137.537572.jpg

Found out last night late my wife had to work at 5a, so when she left I was already awake from the commotion women make so I said y not, they weren't calling for high winds till about 10 via weatherbug and it was spot on as usual.

Cove only had 2 specks and Marsh Island held a few reds today. I passes near Dry reef, but thought the water was muddy. Apparently I was wrong. Good job!

I think it's murky like that bc it's freshwater on top. Idk tho. Nothing in the cove huh?!?? Where'd you try? May have been bc all the boats. There was only 3 when I was heading out but 15 when I was heading in... I saw one guy in an 16-18' aluminum center console slingin a few in as I passed. I'm sure someone caught in the cove. The locals usually buss em in there but they are tight lip

Any size to any of them? We did well on Caldwell but no hammers. Water was fresh. I checked salinity on tete butte and it was 4.5 ppt. With a pretty good west wind. Lilly's everywhere. Fish box was full of shrimp when I cleaned it out. Almost all the fish I caught had a shrimp antenna sticking out its mouth. I think it's gotta salty up before the big boys move in.
