Day 2 Cowboys & Cajuns Redfish Rodeo

Day two fishing the Fourth Annual Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Rodeo. We found a slower bite this morning at our first stop than yesterday. With a three red stringer of 20.6 pounds at 7:30 am, I wasn't satisfied. We took off and were on the hunt for a bigger red to put us over 21 pounds. We hit two deep holes then hit the shallow water throwing spoons and Vortex Shad on gold spinners. We added another 5 reds but no contenders. I had one last location I wanted to try before heading in, and it was money!! We added three more reds quick with one going 7.17 pounds putting us up to 21.79 pounds. We called it a day and beat the rain in!! Ended the two days with 45.19 pounds, taking overall first place guide pot. Congrats to all the Capt's, teams members, and Peter Velasco for making the event a success. Job well done guys.
