Biggun, glad you did your "good dead" for the day. Did they buy your gas for the day? If not, they should have.

It has been years since I've fished T.S. but usually had good luck. Got caught out there by a thunder storm, but will never let that happen again. On my way in, a 13-1/2' Whaler was going "out", how dumb.

We Fished about 30 minutes.. Nada... Headed back in to the pass.. Well saw a boat tied up toa channel marker.. WL&F was there.. Getting the peps off boat... I called on VHF... I agreed to tow their boat back to ICY..

Man, 2 hrs later. A thunderstorm hit us as we get into the 4 mile.. Lightning all over..

Made It to the landing. Get the broken boat to the Wharf.. It was raining sideways. Blowin 30-35 knots....... Finally got the boat on the trailer, 3 of us are soaking wet.

Winds will be blowing in the upper 20's for rest of week into next week..
Karma. I towed a guy in last year from Pavy Reef and not long ago, I broke a prop shaft in the bay and got a tow from south of Dry Reef back. Always offer to help.

Even That Triton isn't immune to Lightning....My 2 friends where seating on the floor.. ONE Wanted to know were the life jackets were... They wanted me to be the highest thing in the boat.. )))))))

Did you guys note the winds had been out of the West for a few days before his catch? You can see on Modis today the effect of a strong west wind, pushes clean gulf water toward the pass and muddy river water away. Now, we have a strong southeast wind. That will push muddy water back toward the pass.
