Default Boat Question

Hey guys, I know this is the report forum but I posted in the General Message Board with no response. I went to the local Boat & RV Show yesterday and really liked the 2017 Blue Wave 2000 Pure Bay. Looking for some reviews/opinions on these boats.

Thanks in Advance!

Had cracks in gelcoat within a few months, cap wasn't attached properly, floor was "mushy" in spots, repaired at factory and started cracking again.

Dealer really went to bat or him, but Bluewave didn't help. Had to get attorney involved. Boat was in shop more than he had it for the first year or so.

Own a PB 2400 (perhaps 6 model years old)/ 250 Yamadog 4 stroke. It has been a very good boat, well laid out, bait wells perform very well. good storage, excellent ride heavy chop crossing bays/ nearshore...solid boat for me. Negatives- one 'soft' hatch but not bad enough to repair (was purchased out of warranty), a tendency to cavitate when cornering in tight bayous and I have found no remedy in trim/jack plate position...prop appears to be pitched/sized properly. I can't speak for current production but compared to many other more popular boats I have looked at I would buy another if shopping in that price range.

know two guides out of Grand Isle that had stingers inside hull come apart after couple years. one of the guides had same problem on 2 different blue-wave boats.

I know Lake Area Marine stopped carrying Blue Wave due to quality issues.

I had a 2400 and it was laid out nicely but was cheaply made and lacking in quality compared to other boats in the same price range. I would not purchase another blue wave.

Is the boat you speak of for sale currently on this site?

I've had two bluewave boats they were great. These were the 180 Vbay and 190VLC which were your basic budget bay boats. I didn't buy another one because the purebays are way too expensive.
