Saturday Bass Anglers (Bass Club)
The Saturday Bass Anglers are looking for new members. We have been around for years. We are having a meeting on February 6th at Hollier's in Sulphur at 6:00 p.m. You must pay for your own meal. Our annual dues are $50.00 and $20.00 per person to fish tournaments. We fish the local rivers and lakes such as Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn. Year end awards are given out in several categories. The club hosts an end of year classic for the members that earn a spot. We encourage a wholesome environment with no alcohol or vulgar language. We are out to have an enjoyable fishing experience. If you have any questions, please contact me through this forum. |

Each member gets points for their finish in each tournament. You weigh your best 5 fish. If you fish with a partner, each member weighs their 5 fish, then they combine their best 5 fish for a team stringer. You may have a visitor fish with you as a member. Payouts go to best team stringers and largest bass.
You may fish with any size boat and motor with the exception of the tournament on Lacassine Refuge. We have a total of 12 tournaments plus the Classic. You must finish in the top ten in terms of points and fish at least 6 tournaments to earn a spot in the Classic. We fish 2 tournaments on the Sabine, Calcasieu, Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn. We have one on the, Mermentau, Vernon Lake, and Lacassine Refuge. We also have one Open tournament where you can fish any body of water on the schedule. I have the schedule and bass club rules if you want to give me your email address. You may contact me through a private message. |
