Default Blacks Bayou

Has anyone fished blacks close to where it meets the intracoastal for bass?

I was looking at a map and was curious.

I fish there ALOT. I have caught plenty of reds and cats. I normally fish east of gulf hwy though. Biggest bass ive got was about two lbs. Fished with shiners and caught alot.of small ones about 6"-8". I plan on fishing it harder this year though

yeah where it meets the intracoastal that connects the sabine and calc. I have heard stories of people catching good bass but it was before the hurricanes.

Like they said, pre Rita we used to crush the bass in there. Heard the canals were silted in pretty bad now. But, i haven't been out there in quite some time. Let me know how you do though, I would love to hit some of my old holes.

I grew up duck hunting/fishing in there. Our lease was right next to Warren Coco. Shoot a limit of ducks in 15 minutes then catch a limit of marsh bass in 2-3 hours and head in. That was 10-20 years ago. My uncle still in lease and the duck hunting and fishing are both very poor now.
