Default Amite River Boat Launch??????

Ok, guys to the east of me!

I need some help....... I may go to the Amite River after my teal hunt in the morning for a boat party on the "sand bar". The only time I have ever been to the Amite River was when I landed on a helicopter picking up drunk SOB's that got hurt.

Where is the closest launch to St. Amant/Gonzales and where is the "sand bar"????

Any help is appreciated and some good pictures may be posted if all goes well!!!!

Peddler can help you more, I am sure but, there's a launch at fred's on 42 that will take you there easily.

I am assuming you're talking about the Lake M sand bar?

I usually launch around Tin Lizzy's on HWY 22 in Springfield. Not a far run fron the sand bar and also not far from the Prop Stop. Go get you a worm bucket and a swamp burger and enjoy the view!
