Default How I spent my Black Friday

I had a late start Friday morning and headed south about 10:30am. I had just redone my 3 carbs on the Yamaha and did a water pump repair and wanted to make sure everything was working. I couldn't get much to hit by the island in the channel closest to the steam engine and most were small. I moved to Turners about 1:30pm to see if much was happening. I never saw birds working there all afternoon and I fished till 5pm but after 4:15 the fishing got good. I couldn't get anything to hit the Norton Sand Eel Jr. . but I had lots of action on Vudu shrimp under a popping cork. I kept 13 trout and one red. Most fish were caught close to the opening of Turners.
