Default Gar patties

Came home with a decent sized gar this past weekend. Decided to try and make some patties after seeing a recent post on here. We ended up with 16 patties overall. Coated them with breadcrumbs and fried in a skillet. I didn't use any filler, so they were closer to a chicken patty in consistency than a normal fish patty. Really good with the remoulade sauce though. Think I might try and toss some on the grill tonight and make a burger with them.

Can't beat that. We always used potatoes for a filler.

I think I'm going to mix in some potatoes to the rest of the patties before freezing them. It'll definitely help the texture.

Yea patties, balls, also good as stuffing for mushrooms we also make alot of smoked gar. It was great for giving those Friday meals a hint of smokey flavor.
