Default The Burns 6/17/2017

Possibly the best fishing day I've ever had.
Launched alone at 5:40am, and was making first cast at 6:11. Skies cloudy, wind 10-15mph.
Caught 22 bass (kept my 10) by 11am and started perch-jerking with the ultra-lite rod/reel.
Kept 21 sunfish for a friend who likes them.
Left the launch at 3:00.

Very nice trip. Those big bream and chinquapin are a blast on light tackle.

Thumbs up

Nothing beats a good day of fishing, especially when you are catching.

On another note, what is the name, brand of those shoes, they look well ventilated. I want to get some to wear in my boat. It is white and black sole shoes are the worst.

TIA

I got those a year ago at BPS. They have held up well, dry quickly, and didn't kill the bank. (I hope it's within forum rules to post a link) http://m.basspro.com/World-Wide-Spor...oduct/2264081/

I have a small Pfleuger President spinning reel w/ 20 lb braid on a 8' B'n'M light action rod. When the catching is fast, it's just as enjoyable as bass fishing. Had a blast.
I suspend a small jig under a bobber.

The last two times I've perch-jerked out there, I've noticed that there is a strain of panfish that really looks like a cross-breed between a crappie and a regular sunfish.
The pattern on the fish' sides are all crappie, but the mouth looks like a chinquapin or regular sunfish.

Well that right there is pure sac-a-lait. I remember you posted a pic a while back that were goggle eye and not sac-a-lait
