According to the article the proposal is currently for a closure in 2017 only, and it's open for public comment with a finals decision at the Nov meeting. They did state taht they could enact teh closure in additional years if needed. I do think it will increase pressure in the SE part of Louisiana, I'll probalby see a bit of it since that's where I fish in winter.

It definitely will.

I don't live in Mississippi anymore, but many people I know are saying they'll just go to Louisiana to fish.

Incorrect. Deep slow trolling in the rivers in the winter months is one of the most productive patterns in Mississippi trout fishing. It's a different deal on the Miss. gulf coast.
