Default Holly Beach 10/24/16

Just found out I'm working right by Holly Beach next Monday the 24th. I'm from the east side of the state so I've never been there only heard of it. Could I bring a few rods and reels and catch some fish after work Monday evening? Any tips?

Try wade fishing by the tide breakers west of there. The north wind should clear and calm the surf there and it ought to be good.

Plastic or live? I throw plastic 99% of the time and I usually fish the Dularge area.

Plastics and tops should work fine.

Holly Beach Update: Didn't fish bc we worked till almost 6pm. Figured some of y'all would want an update. I did see ppl fishing by some canals a lil farther north than Holly Beach. I apologize for the lack of info.
