Default There I Go Thinking Again!!!

Made a decision based on what I thought was good thinking. I had to work thru Saturday which put me hunting on Sunday & Monday. With the weather being what it was (Warm, Foggy) I decided it may be a good idea to take care of some home projects on Sunday & Monday and hunt Tuesday morning (Forecast, wind, cooling temps & drizzle). Sounded like ducks to me, so I invited my friend Victor to hunt with me assuring him we would get some birds. Well I once again suffer from "Foot In Mouth Disease". We did not fire a shot, as a matter of fact we did not have a bird come within 300 yards of us. Additionally, we probably saw only 50 or so birds flying all morning. Oh well, I'll be back at them this weekend. I'll hope for better next time. My apologies to my friend Vick for a wet goose egg. As Dean Wormer said, "Zero point zero". 00

We started off strong, but this has become the norm the last few hunts. Pretty upsetting to say the least.

Unless you're in the poorhouse, I'm gonna advise that you go every day that you can. Weather or no weather. You just never know. Any day could be the day that that one lost double banded greenhead decides that your decoys is the place for him.

That's what kept me going everyday last week!
-" just maybe something will stir them up"
Or maybe the south winds will change it up
Or maybe the extra hunters hunting will get em moving
Or maybe....... Fill in the blank with some excuse to go and not get told "honey do this" haha

I'm going to GC tomorrow. Hopefully the north wind will knock back the extra foot of water we have been having for three weeks now.

Man I feel your pain, but if you drain into the Mernentaue then it may be a while..
