Default New Rod

The wife out did herself this year for Christmas. She got me a gift card to Bowie Outfitters (a local outdoor store in Baton Rouge) so I could buy a new custom Kajun Limb rod. The guy that makes these rods is local so I wanted to help support his business. I got a 6'6 medium action with a cork grip but no fore grip. I also got a new Shimano Citica to put on it. I would like to help support this local guy so if you want some info on the rod p.m. me.

Cool, I used to go to Bowie alot when I was going to LSU. That's a nice place to do some shopping, they have pretty much anything you need.

Jacob, the guy that runs the fishing department is a cool guy. he knows alot about what they sell. I was in there saturday buying some Muck fishing boots and a new rod. picked up a 7' okuma c3, the guy that makes those Kajun Limbs was bringing in some new rods he made. looks like some quality stuff. my buddy bought two new curado 200e7, everything in the store was 20% off. he got them for like 125 each.

Cannot believe Bowie had something on sale.....I quit shopping at that place after I purchased something once and they stapled a return/exchange policy to my reciept which was 1,000 words long!! BTW, I like those Okuma C3 rods. That will be my next rod buy!

I picked up a couple of these rods and they are great. I had him build a 7ft medium for trout and a got a 7ft heavy for bass from the sale. Fished them both today and they felt great. The heavy action was really nice and is super light. Now if we could get the fish to cooperate we would be in business.
