Always hear of people complaining about their 887's. I am on my second year of shooting 3 1/2 inch BB's and still not one single problem. Hell I even went to a skeet competion and was shooting low brass all day without a hiccup. I think I have only cleaned the gun once ever as well.

2 weeks out the box I would shoot my first shot second shell would cycle out the bottom. Sent it back to the factory. Made it through the rest of the season. Next year 2nd week in 2 of every 3 shots all I got was a click.....back to the factory. It held up a half of box of shells and was doing the same thing....back to the factory. It didn't even make it back for the spring goose season. Got it back in June first shot out the box....click. Sent it to a gun smith in BR he said the whole thing is loose. If you hold the forearm forward it'll shoot every time. It's sitting in a corner at my shop collecting dust right now. Want to buy it? It's all max 4 camo. $100 and you can have it

My brother and and a buddy of mine both have one. I shot my brothers one day at a skeet shooting event (100 rounds) and loved it. I've also used it a few times goose hunting shooting 3 1/2". Very soft shooting gun and just comfortable to shoot.

I have the non camo versamax. Not the cheaper sportsman model.

I have about 2 cases through mine. I love it. Little heavier than most of the comparaible guns, kick is nonexistent in my opinion. Ive shot 3.5 inch to the cheapest low brass they make.

Have had one shell get caught when ejecting while hunting, just had to pull the bolt back and keep shooting. I had half the brush from the blind inside the chamber when this happened. Besides that no problems what so ever.

The finish seems to be pretty tough. Hunt salt marsh and the finish is holding up pretty well in that enviroment.

One of guys I hunt with was hunting with his A400 last week and the cap on end of forearm just broke and popped off. Said it was made of plastic. Couldn't hunt after that. Waiting for the new cap to come in.
