Default VB 12/12

Got to the Cove at sun up. Trolled around till we found them. Bite was on 7:30 - 8:30. Managed to snag 17 specks and a flounder who was obviously lost. My son and I were using solid chartreuse and also purple/chartreuse cocahoes, but that wasn't the magic color. There was a guy in a kayak that was hauling them in as fast as he could reel them in. Not sure what color he had??? Gonna give it a try again this Friday.

I'm not sure but it could have been the bait. Some kayakers I know use a different bait with a longer tail that they swear by. Pack and paddle sells them I think.

guy was smoking us at the cove the other day.. swear it was every cast for him while we'd pick one up here and there.. I don't know if it was the bait or the location, but man he was on them.

And it could have been the way he was working em. Slight adjustments in presentation like that can make a lot of difference.

Wed. noon was at the Cypromort Pt. landing and talked to 3 guys who had just picked up their boat with 3 specks in the ice chest. Drove on to C.P. state and the water in The Cove was dirty with white caps. Did not plan on fishing, only on a sight-seeing trip.

Thanks for the report. Gonna give it a go tomorrow anyway just to see if they are still there. First day of vacation, going to use it wisely
