Cheers Monday Trout and Reds

Kevin Rousell and crew joined me Monday on the Bluewave. Slower start than we have been having as the winds were up and no feeding birds to be found. We started over a reef and got on a good run of fish, then the bite died. It was run and gun after that hitting reefs, and points. We picked away at the trout till noon then decided to go look for reds. In less than 20 yards we had hooked four and boated three!!! We hooked up a fifth fish and boated it, then the fish got finicky. Bump bump bump, just hitting the tails. My crew had a blast and even achieved a bucket list goal (super excited). All fish caught on Matrix Shad with Crappie Psychic Trout Trailers double rigged, single rigged, or under a cork. Good times for sure with this crew and I look forward to their return, thanks again.

If you live in / near Lafayette, you can go to THE FISHING STORE on Louisiana Ave

But do those things make any difference? I guess the only way you'd know is if you have two skilled fishermen on the boat, one using them and one not.
