Question Opinions on 2001 merc 200

Looking to get a little input on the 2001 mercury 200hp saltwater edition.
pros and cons but not a complete bashing just because you like obama or not.
ive heard things about them running on select cylinders, is this true? if so which ones.
id like to know about problems with them (such as the oil mixer and cooling issues) and id like the know what makes them good (perhaps fuel consumption).

anyone have one with a ton of hours that can vouch for them?

thanks for any input!!

Default Opti 200 salt water

Got two of them, 2004 with about 470 hrs. Had a alternator go out on one and a actuator on the trim on the other. Fuel is not bad, can run out about 50-60 miles plus running around and it's normally 70 to 80 gal. That's loaded down with 6-7 people and gear.

I had a 2001 125. Motor was hard to start on cold days the first time, but would crank fine every time after. Oil pump went out and motor burned up, I would disable it and mix your gas in the tank. Other than that it was a good motor with decent mileage
