Default big thanks to meauxfishing

Thanks meaux for the recommendation on the elite-7 hdi. It came in today, and will be mounted tomorrow. It looks like imma be able to use my existing transducer bracket, so that's a plus.

Good unit, just don't keep it on the boat when not in use. The heat and humidity will eat them up. If you don't already get a RAM mount so you won't wear our your bracket taking it off and on. I learned this the hard way.

Screen cover helps but does not protect it from heat damage to the internals. I know it's a pain it remove it but it will save you the hassle later down the road. I work at a marine dealership and we flush mounted several of them and had some issues with heat damage according to lowrance.
