Default Worst boat shoes made: Sperry ASV solution boat shoes

I bought two pairs of these things (both tennis shoe models) for $120 a piece to use fishing. The first pair didn't last three fishing trips (2 weeks total) and the second pair didn't last two fishing trips (1 week). The front rubber on both shoes came apart and the rubber on the heels ripped on the all four shoes. I've never seen a pair of shoes fall apart before but these things are the Yugo's of boat shoes. Avoid at all costs.

Not worth the hassle of sending them back. Even if they gave me 2 new pairs I wouldn't wear them again. The Columbia powerdrains are nice shoes.

Try the Keen boat sandals. I prefer these to the Top siders. Going on 2 seasons and still in perfect shape. These sandals do not slip on wet surfaces like crocs or top siders.

Seems like you got a bad batch. I would return them and give them another shot. **** happens. I have some sperry flip flops that are over 4 years old and I wear the crap out of them. I wouldn't put them on blast untill you gave them the oppurtunity to make it right.

Would you write about a product you had for 20 years saying how good it is..... probably not, but you get a couple pairs of bad shoes and throw a reputable company straight under the bus without giving them a second chance.

I own a pair of sperry flip-flops and I ah e the topsider billfish boat shoe. Ive been having the boat shoes about a year(my second pair) and I love em. I dont own a pair of tennis shoes so any time I'm not wearing my ostriches I have my boat shoes on. Wear em dove hunting offshore everywhere and I promise if I can't tear em up they're a good shoe.

I wear Shimano fishing sandals. I wear them everywhere which my wife hates, but I don't care. They are very comfortable. And they don't stink too bad.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm ordering a pair of the Zekos now. Never heard of them before but they look pretty good.

Been wearing Sperry Topsiders for years. They are now made in China and the quality is slowly dropping.

I got some Columbia drainmakers, they are the lightest shoes I've ever worn. They drain as advertised too.
