My tacoma gets about 18 hwy 16 city... and about 12 pulling anything... Terrible for a small truck. But i love it... u can buy one and in 10 years still sell it for alot of money... unlike one of those other trucks. lol... Oh and and the lil ole v6 will put a spanking on an Ecoboost, chevy, tundra or titan.

Default 2015 gmc sierra & chevys

What recalls are you guys referring to? I have had 2 recalls on my new GMC. One was power sliding back glass and one was something with exhaust. Don't know what's such a big deal with that. Brought it into the dealership and they took care of it in a few hours. Love my truck. F-150 is a nice ride too. But after my 2012 F250 was in the shop FIVE times before I hit 50k miles, I traded that POS in on my GMC All Terrain. Had a 2009 Duramax that I put 100,000 miles on without one issue before I sold it. My dad has new GMC with about 60k miles and not one issue and I have about 20k miles on mine with no issues. Gets about 15-16 in town and 18-19 on hwy. Towing is night and day between it and the older GMs. Haters gonna hate.

If i was to buy a full size truck it would be a hard decision between the Ford and the GMC i like them both equally! I dont care about all that recall BS... It would probably just be which dealership in my area gave me the best deal!

Here is one.

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2014/03/...for-fire-risk/

Maybe your truck didn't fall under it, there are many more. It's been all over the news, they have come under some serious government scrutiny and had ax a bunch of high level employees to save face.

GM has had 60 recalls in 2014 for a total of 29 million vehicles. 13 deaths have been attributed to a measly little ignition recall.

new and improved with better technology is supposed to offer us better engines that get better gas mileage but its like a conspiracy that they (all manufacturers) wont design a new truck that gets over 16-18mpg.

the mini trucks used to be the best selling trucks on the market but people wanted them to be just a little bigger so the beds had more room the 3ft x 5ft yet they went way too far and started building full sized trucks not even offering the mini trucks any more.

if I park my '98 Silverado next to a '14 Tacoma, other then body style there isn't more then 6" difference in size while the tundra would make my Silverado look like a mid sized truck

so, to the auto manufacturers out there: I ONLY WANT TO BUY A FULL SIZED 30MPG TRUCK SO MAKE THE DARN THING ALREADY

I think they don't make them because they falsely believe all we want to buy is big oversized monster trucks that can haul as much weight as an 18 wheeler and while there certainly is a very popular market for that, they need to offer a better fuel economy mid sized truck as an alternative to it.

I have a 5.7 liter pushing the 400hp envelope, 4x4 crew can and get over 20 mpg between 75 and 80mph.

I don't see the conspiracy, it's pretty impressive if you ask me.

The technology to give you 40mpg AND not be an absolute turd would be so expensive right now that you would cry conspiracy for price gouging.

I'm going to have to call you on that, unless you have a single cab 2wd with a manual transmission. Even then highway mileage was rated at 18mpg for a z71, and we know that's going slow and in a controlled environment the EPA. Plus, that engine maybe had 250hp...

I just sold my tundra rock warrior edition because the mileage was horrible. Who thinks 13 is good? Seriously? 14.5 on the interstate at 75. Nice truck and plenty of power but the mileage is laughable. My wife's '09 Tahoe 4x4 gets 20-21 on the interstate and 17-18 in town. Sticking with duramax from now on.
