National weather service has Issued a Low Water advisory to most lakes and bays.....

This includes Big Lake..... Big Lake can be a hazard on Low tides as some Debris from the Hurricanes still are submerged underwater! If you travel these water ways us caution....

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA
1049 AM CST SAT JAN 30 2010

...STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS AND HIGH SEAS WILL CONTINUE...

.STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS AND HIGH SEAS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. THE STRONG WINDS WILL ALSO BRING BELOW
NORMAL TIDE LEVELS...CAUSING POSSIBLE NAVIGATION PROBLEMS ON
INLAND WATERWAYS.

A LOW WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING.

WHILE WIND SPEEDS HAVE DECREASED BELOW SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY
CRITERIA...NAVIGATION ON INLAND WATERWAYS IS EXPECTED TO BE
IMPACTED TODAY AS NORTHERLY WINDS COMBINED WITH THE NORMAL
ASTRONOMICAL TIDES RESULT IN A MEAN LOW WATER LEVELS.

WITH PREDICTED LOW TIDES THIS MORNING...WATER LEVELS AT SABINE
PASS HAVE FALLEN TO NEAR -2.2 FEET MLLW...-2.0 FEET MLLW AT
CALCASIEU PASS AND NEAR -1.0 FOOT MLLW AT CYPREMORT POINT. THESE
VALUES ARE BETWEEN ONE TO ONE AND A HALF FEET BELOW NORMAL TIDE
LEVELS. EXPECT WATER LEVELS TO BEGIN RISING DURING THE AFTERNOON
AHEAD OF THE NEXT PREDICTED HIGH TIDE LATER TODAY...BUT MAY BECOME
PROBLEMATIC AGAIN TOMORROW DURING LOW TIDE.
