Default Hopedale Trout Slam 2-28-10

That's right I said trout! For all you guys at Big Lake they do still exist. Got on the water this morning about 7:30. The weather was beautiful and wind finally cooperated. We were going to go try and catch some reds on the fly rod on the way there I was making a few casts here and there and picked a nice 16" trout. We slowed down and started targeting the trouts and it was on. I was a steady bit so it took till about 1 to get our limits. Every fish was large and fat. When we got back to the marina it looked like the celebration parade for the Saints after they won the Super Bowl. Everyone wanted to see that strange speckled fish they had heard of but no one was catching. The owner of the marina informed me that was the first limit of trout since December of last year. We caught all fish on plastics at the MRGO rocks.

Get 'em while they're there...they'll be gone to Breton Sound in a few weeks.

You do good when you ain't gotta deal with Pox.

It is easier to catch fish when the guy in the front of the boat isn't casting across your line.
