I'm looking at $8-10 range will come when partnerships or maybe even buyouts announced. By years end hopefully.

Anything under $2 is a good buy. I bought all the way up when it was over $4 at one point 3 years ago. Been able to average down to 1.80. And I would still be buying if I wasn't out of money!!!

It spiked earlier to $2.40. Here's why.....

Globalstar Said to Work With Advisers to Explore Potential Sale
Company won FCC approval for wireless spectrum use last year
Sale would follow Verizon?s $3.1 billion Straight Path deal
By Alex Sherman

(Bloomberg) -- Globalstar Inc., which won U.S. approval to use its satellite airwaves for mobile broadband service, is working with financial advisers on a potential sale, people familiar with the matter said.

The company, which has a market value of about $2.1 billion, could attract interest from major wireless and cable companies, one of the people said, asking not to be identified as the details aren?t public. Deliberations are at an early stage and there is no certainty a deal will be reached, the people said. Chief Executive Jay Monroe III said in an interview in January that he would probably lease his spectrum, adding that the company ?is considering all strategic options.?

Globalstar owns LTE wireless spectrum that can work with existing chips inside smartphones and wireless carriers, Monroe III said at the time. The airwaves aren?t the same as the swath that Verizon Communications Inc. agreed to buy Thursday from Straight Path Communications Inc. for $3.1 billion.

Representatives for Covington, Louisiana-based Globalstar didn?t respond to requests for comment.

Shares of Monroe?s Globalstar Inc. are up 11 percent since the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in December gave the company permission to use its satellite airwaves for mobile broadband services, which can attract more than a niche base of customers with satellite phones.
The bidding war for Straight Path also pumped Globalstar shares, as investors predicted the value of the company?s spectrum licenses will keep climbing. But the two companies? airwaves aren?t created equal.

Straight Path owns high-frequency spectrum in the 28 gigahertz and 39 gigahertz bands, within the range above 24 gigahertz approved for 5G use by the FCC. Globalstar?s airwaves are much lower, at 2.4 gigahertz, and it only owns about 11.5 megahertz.

Wireless carriers, Globalstar?s potential buyers, have estimated they will need channels at least 60 megahertz wide to meet the requirements for the next generation of high-speed mobile phone networks.

Not specifically but there are a lot of rumors flying around.

Odeon - GSAT: The big question who could buy them?

1. Alphabet, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, T, VZ. Cable Co.?s such as CMCSA, CHTR & Altice are possibly amongst the Co.?s that could be interested.

2. The point is that a number of Companies are evaluating applications in wireless and yet there are only a few players with clean spectrum.

3. No realistic achievable amount of new spectrum resource can currently service even the most conservative demand for mobile data requirements. GSAT?s spectrum is unique in its support of small cell deployment and it?s band holds physical, regulatory, and ecosystem qualities that distinguish it from other current and anticipated allocations.

4. GSAT is a strategic asset with its TD LTE spectrum which is the most flexible spectrum band with no pairing mandate (unlike AWS3)

5, GSAT has been absent from M&A conversation in the past due to pending approval from the FCC & the Broadcast auction ? Now neither is an issue.

6. Short Interest: With a 20% short Interest. (higher if you adjust for the CEO?s full ownership) ? The squeeze could be painful!

They would have to step up big because there will be several big players bidding for them. Hopefully they pay Way above value just to keep it out of the hands of their competitors. Just my opinion.

I agree I just thought it was funny to ask and see what she said. I honestly didn't expect a response to that question and In my opinion I think att will be on the smaller side of the bid (out bid) as we have The big guys going to bid it out Amazon, Microsoft, Google etc but none the less a bidding war is perfect!

So many factors in this but I'm curious where Inmarsat is going to sit in this if they were going to partner?

I doubt it GSAT is a tortoise in the market even with this rumor it will go up but there's still a lot of shorts to bring it down imo add more to your position.

It's rare that I look forward to Mondays. But I'm ready for the market to open. Would love a confirmation from the company on the buyout rumors being real. That will be a big pop!

It's tough to find an entry point with the volatility in price. But if you believe in the future price of 8-$10 as I do, then don't let .20 cents stop your buy in. Or you gonna be kicking yourself later! I've been there before.

I set a buy at the open at $2 and forgot about it to be honest. I remembered at 3:05 and checked to see if it had bought but no luck.
