Default Pescador Kayak

Anyone have one of these kayaks? I heard they are based off the older version of the tarpon 120. 550 is a hell of a buy http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/97897-...top-kayak.html

Good question. I was wondering about these also. How are they compared to the Tarpon?

Same boat Academy has for $499.00 in red only. Can't see paying twice as much for any kayak, unless it was a Haynie kayak.

i never understood why yaks are so high. this one looks nice and the price isnt bad. some of the yaks i looked at were 1200-1500 range. i told the guy at pack and paddle that he was crazy and i could buy a used 14flat with a 25 on it for that.

You can bank on that with Pack and Paddle, the owners are Birkenstock wearin Tree Huggers. I also can't understand paying $1,200-$1,500 for a piece of plastic to fish out of when a $500.00 model will do the same thing. Most of the folks you see fishing out of the high dolla yaks couldn't catch a Cold but they B Pimpin da spensive Ride.

Hell, I can barely bring myself to spend 500.00 on one. To me that still seems too high.

its just like a boat they all made of fiberglass or alum. but are built different. once you get to using them u can tell the difference i have a ride 135 i bought it used but im a big guy and wanted something stable. i can stand up on mine. my step dad has an ascend good kayak but not near as stable as mine and don't track as straight but it is faster than mine. trust me there is big differences in kayak's.

me personally i would not spend 1500 on one either but as in boats you get what you pay for
