Default Anyone ever fish lake fork?

Just got invited to fish Fork the second weekend of May. Never been, was wondering if some of you guys have ever fished it. From what I've read, water temps now are peaking around 65-68 throughout the lake, so I imagine by that time the majority will be in full blown post spawn patterns with maybe a few still on beds or guarding fry. I know I'll have to step my line game up but thats about it lol. Thanks for any advice in advance.

I really like fishing Lake fork. That time they should be post spawn. I like bream colored swim jigs, spinner baits and horny Toads. Some fish will still be shallow and some will be moving to a summer patteren. Fun lake to fish. You will catcha ton of small fish but big ones can be had.

Can that lake handle that many boats or will it be rediculously crowded? Could possibly reschedule.

It's been 7 or 8 years but it was lots of fun. The 1st time I fished it, it was August and they were schooling and we snagged a few smaller dinks but had a nice trip with several 4's and my buddy had a pair of 8's. The second time we had crap weather all weekend and I caught 8 or 9 fish all between 3.5 and 5 lbs. Beautiful lake and lots and of water.

Just spent a week at Lake Fork. Awesome lake. Fished stick baits on topwater and senco's did real well. Don't know how it will be next week, let us know how it turns out. I plan on going again for Memorial day weekend.

Any toads? And looks like we are having to reschedule, possibly the last week of May. I'm actually trying to talk them in to getting a tuna charter instead lol.

Biggest was 7.68, caught 14 over 6lbs. There are some big fish in that lake. Went to Toledo Bend on Thrusday and did well also, and it's alot closer.

I live near l.fork n rarely fish it because of rude people. There are too many other good lakes around.Fork is a long drive to get skunked.Everyone I know would rather go to rayburn or t.bend

Rude POS people everywhere. I didn't find the percentage greater at Fork than T.B. I haven't been to either lake in the summer though. I can't stand to be around jet skiers or wake board (douchebag) boats. If they are around I will always find some water to fish where they won't be.
