Default RIG Tansocean Ltd.

Bought in 25,000 shares at $11.45. I think they are an excellent opportunity due to the oil down cycle. They are an extremely well run company with excellent equipment and one of the leaders in their part of the industry. They have had a few HSE issues lately but that is just a abnormality to me. Not indicative of system issues. Even through the down cycle they are retaining key field personnel which is important in my mind as it will allow them to be up and running quickly should they need to. I'm thinking this will be a long term hold for me.

Any opinions?

To plop down that kind of cash, you must be confident. I suppose it's got more upside than downside. I guess that's why some people make money and people like me don't. Good luck.

Right now it is at $13.17. I think it's going to go up to possibly $18.00 in the near term. If it hit's $16.00 I'll sell out and take a profit.

I bought thru my broker. He also bought in but he recommended I put in a stop. I declined yesterday but watching it shoot up so fast today I got nervous and put one in. I got caught on a dip and viola. Lol. My broker moved his down to $13.80 and laughed at me. I'm happy though. I made over $63,000.00 in less than 24 hours. How can I complain about that? People get greedy and loose their shirts.

I'll watch it and see what happens. I'm thinking I'm going to buy Chesapeake also. I'll decide over the weekend. This oil price spike is going to have lots of people taking profits this afternoon so i will watch.

I have some in Seadrill (SDRL) for the same reasons. Mine will be more of a long haul though

Honestly I didn't expect this today. I saw the stock hit 11.22 yesterday and had to buy. I just couldn't believe it was that low and knew it was grossly undervalued. I didn't get it that cheap but I sure did try. It was like found money. When it jumped that high that fast today I had to take the profit. This was my best one day profit ever. I'm in Africa right now and have been celebrating my good luck tonight. It's better than winning at the casino. Feeling no pain right now. :-). The best thing is my broker set his stop at $13.80 and he got stuck at 13.75! LMAO and now it's back up to,almost $14.00!! I finally beat him on a deal. What a great day. Life is good.

At the current valuation RIG is only trading @ 1/3 of it's book value!

I've been thinking about it all weekend. Kinda kicking myself a bit for taking a profit and going all out. I'm buying in again this week all be in it in a smaller way. I think I'm going to add 2000 shares to my long term portfolio.

Correction- you made over $63,000 (less: short term CG tax/O.I. rate). So you made somewhere south of $53k. Still a solid *** trade tho.

Is Diamond ever going to recover? Transocean is a very good company from an operational standpoint.

I hope Marathon sticks around long enough for the Shale business to pick up. BP has been a downer since Macando.
