I think the numbers look ok. It's all about if we get the cold fronts.

The season dates don't matter and it doesn't matter if you have a little 2% drop year over year when the LTA is still 38% increase.

It's not just about cold fronts, the birds don't get cold and leave - they're plenty capable of dealing with chilly weather. We need a lot of snow and ice up north to cover their forage, then they'll come down because they can't get to their grub.

We've been hammering the blue wings last couple years, they've become more plentiful than the green wings, all throughout the season even. The decline in blue wings worries me a tad. As long as grey ducks are up/comparable to past years we all in south Louisiana are in decent shape.
