Default Ideas on where or how to mount an anchor.

Just ordered a brand new 16' Alweld, is there a way to make a homeade pipe or something to hold the anchor? I ordered the boat with the extra 1' on front deck with lockable storage so i can't just store it like the regular alwelds where the hole is in deck and you can shove stuff under it.... Any ideas, suggestions, or pictures even for how your running your rig?

Thanks, David

if you use the mighty mite anchor, get a piece of 2" pvc & cap. measure it to rest on the deck and extent a little higher than the gunnel so that some of the tines can hang over the gunnel. Cut a 1/2" slot along the length of the pvc. Glue the cap on one end. Place the holder with cap on the deck and holder leaning against the gunnel and front deck with slot facing away from deck. you can then mark your holes, drill and attach the holder to the deck thru the slot. Place 2 cleats on the inside of gunnel about 3' apart to loop your rope on. Had that setup for many years with no issues,

I sold that boat a few years ago. If you decide you might want to go that route pm me and we can talk more. it's simple and keeps everything neat & out of your way.
