Default The Burns 6/14/2017

Threw this one back. 15 1/2", didn't weigh it.
Fished 4:30-8:30pm with a buddy. Caught 19, kept 15.
Frogs, Flukes, and Senkos. Kinda windy, partly cloudy.

Nice trip. And nice fish. After catching a bunch of small ones, a better fish like that always makes me think I hooked into a choupique.

I hear ya. But now that I think about it, I haven't caught a choupique out there all season.

And next time I take a pic, I'll try to remember to tuck in my front pockets...

I'm gonna go back out there in the morning. It's supposed to be nice and cloudy.

We have caught 4-5 big choupique this year out there on different trips. I always just throw them back. I know some people eat them. I haven't run into the redfish out there this year though. We were chasing them around last year but I haven't found them this year in there. There was a big school of reds that would wreck a fishing spot when they went through but it was fun to hook up and fight them. That gets the blood pumping.

Nothing wrong with a school of redfish, anytime! I'd welcome that experience out there.
I don't allow choupique in my boat. They can keep the hook.
