Default V Bay crime scene

So Alphaman and I headed out Saturday morning with hopes of a few spes or reds. we started in marsh island sine we had folks posed around the cove and hammock and would call if they found anything.

as with best laid plans, Vbay had other things in store. A not so bumpy ride to the island we were greeted with some stud gafftops. with the wind getting stronger we ran back around the point. ran up to mud point since the cove was packed, nothing on a drift.

hit some canals with spinnerbaits and picked 2 nice reds and a bass. decided to try another canal and that is when "It" happened. we were poking along at idle speed and heard a big splash behind us. AMan said "what as that" I said "probably an Asian carp, you will see them here when the water is fresh". so we talk about them.

no less than one minute later, out of nowhere here comes a 15 lb carp airborne over the port bow. clears the baitwell and hits the starboard side and is instantly between Alphamans legs causing a huge ruckus! He was looking at his phone so he didnt see the fish come over the side, and now there is a 15lb fish causing mayhem between his legs. Panic insures foe a min, bastard finally calms down and we get our heads back. I was laughing, he was poo-pooing but here is what we were left with... it looked like a crime scene.

If you ask, we threw it over the side. after the mayhem we just wanted it out the boat. Glad I added the washdown option with the boat!

We had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago in white lake... except it was a little over 40lbs! hit the side of my seat right behind me while idling... we thought the world was ending! had a very similar crime scene... with no washdown option, lol
