Default Duck Report

Spent the weekend brushing blinds in Pecan Island. Was lucky to have nice weather Saturday and Sunday so we got all our work done. Didn't see to many ducks, a few greys, lots of mottled ducks, and a few teal. But the water on both sides of the highway was very very high, which may have something to do with the lack of birds. We need a good dry front to blow all this water out of the marsh. Anyone seeing any birds?

We saw a few birds in the basin this weekend but not too many. Heard a bunch of woodies though!

Went sunday and grassed blinds at my johnsons bayou lease and saw an improvement from my last trip...30 or so teal, 20+ greys and about the same amount of mottled, a lot better than the 2 mottled I saw the trip before. When I get home tonight I will upload pictures of the blinds they came out better than I thought they would

Forgot to mention that during the first split of dove season I saw over a 100 birds with mostly greys, handful of mottled and 10 or 12 woodies, that was at my vinton lease off the sabine river in vinton
