It's hard to see if any adult is fishing for the kid. No lie detector or warden watching who catches what in a non pro tourny.
I could make some Salty Cajun themed rods for the winner of the kids division.

Is there going to be any interest in a kid's division? At the SC tourny there was a very few kids that participated and that was a bigger deal. Its no fun to win by default.

How would you do that, would the child count as your partner, or would he count as a 3rd man in the boat. I really don't think anyone on this web site would catch for their kid and make up a story at the dock weighing in, but you guys have more experience in this I guess it happens.

Kids fish free. Separate weigh in for them. Prizes to the top kids?
They can fish in the same boat as the grown up teams.

You'd be surprised what the grown ups will do for their kids. Specially
if there is money involved.

It is angled so the nose of the fish is down and lays agains the front of the measurement device and the belly is against the bottom. Fish lays in it so no hands need to touch it. It is angled in 2 directions.
This one has a tail pinch device, also hands off. I will work on getting it or one like it.

I guess teaching our young ones to tell the truth, and be honest is art of the past.

Not part of the past. It still should be that way.
It's the grown ups who cheat. Not all, but some do.
Most are honest, some are so competitive, they will do anything to win, or for their kids to win.
