Default Henderson

Planning on going out to Henderson this weekend. Does anyone know how the launch looks at Butte La Rose between the interstate at the rest stop? Can I launch there or do I need to go over to Kern's? A few weeks back the launches were both choked off. Anyone have an update so I don't waste my gas driving over there and not be able to launch.

Thanks!
Jordan

I didn't fish today just went to set out some traps dam those lillies are everywhere man south bigeaux was blocked solid but pelba seemed a little less muddy closer to the interstate than bigeaux and over to the south by Magees was slightly less muddy kerns might be ya better place I never bass fish much in that area mostly bream fish during the summer when the water starts going down. For most part though to me it looked a little like chocolate milk

Water was real high last time I went. Didn't stay long. Couldn't see the stumps.

The Atch River is down below 10' at Butte La Rose which I have always used as a magical number for fishing Henderson. I wonder why the water is still so high with the river falling so fast.

Maybe I should rethink and fishing the spillway somewhere else. I have been doing well the past few years fishing Bayou Sorrell or launching at Jack Millers. Any advice from anyone that has been fishing those areas in the last couple weeks?

Hi, Jake with Kern's Landing. Just got back from the landing and the south wind has cleared them out. Water is clear on this end. The boulevard was clear as far as I could see and the crawfishermen told me that the I-10 cut was open. The water had been dropping slowly, and the south wind has been holding it some.

Default Terrible day

I made an attempt to go to Henderson yesterday, but the mat of weeds had other ideas. Both the interstate launch on the east and Kerns on the west were choked off with no access to the lake. So I drove to Ramah and fished some run outs. Picked up three small bass and that's it. Water looked good at both Kerns and Ramah. Just needs to come down a few feet. Water really muddy on east side of Henderson. Also, wind was terrible, but still nice to be on the water.

Did you try fishing "King's ditch"..... sometimes you can wear out the bass there if conditions are right?
